RBR Wins MTS Compass Industrial Award

RBR Limited of Ottawa, Canada accepted the Marine Technology Society's Compass Industrial Award, presented at a ceremony at the recent IEEE MTS Oceans 2014 conference in St. John's, Newfoundland.

The award is presented to an organization which has made a contribution to the advancement of marine science and technology. MTS is an international community of ocean engineers, technologists, policy-makers and educators and exists to promote awareness, understanding, advancement and application of marine technology.

Founded in 1976, RBR has a rich heritage of research and development and now designs and manufactures high precision instruments for oceanographic, freshwater, groundwater and cryospheric research.

Accepting the award on behalf of RBR, President Greg Johnson said, "The level of innovation coming out of RBR is a reflection on our staff who strive to design and build scientific instruments of exceptional quality with enthusiasm and creativity. We very much appreciate this recognition of the wider community that such efforts make a difference. If you are not enthusiastic about your own work, change jobs - life is too short to work at something that holds no pleasure for you."
