AKOFS Offshore Inks $282m, Four-year Deal for Aker Wayfarer

Akastor ASA's 50% owned affiliate AKOFS Offshore AS signed a firm contract for its vessel Aker Wayfarer that will continue to perform services as a subsea equipment support vessel (SESV) for Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. as client in Brazil.The duration of the contract is 1,415 days, or almost 4 years, and the services will commence in first half of 2023. AKOFS Offshore will be performing the Aker Wayfarer operations jointly with its partners Bravante for marine services and Oceaneering for ROV services.Total contract value is about $282 million, of which about $198 million will be revenue

Fugro Tallies ROV Services Contracts with Petrobras

Fugro said it has been contracted to provide remotely operated vehicle (ROV) services to support Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. - Petrobras in its exploration and production activities.Two new contracts will see Fugro’s ROV spread working to support drilling related activities, such as towing, mooring, commissioning and decommissioning, and positioning of production and drilling units, as well as installation of subsea equipment in Petrobras oil fields. Exxon, Petrobras Form Alliance to Develop Oil, Gas Projects

Exxon Mobil Corp and Petróleo Brasileiro SA, Brazil's state-controlled oil producer also known as Petrobras, said on Thursday they had formed an alliance to develop energy projects around the world.   The deal, which was signed in Rio de Janeiro, will have the companies study ways they can cooperate on exploration, production and chemical ventures inside and outside of Brazil.   The deal comes two months after Exxon and Petrobras were jointly awarded six oil-rich blocks in Brazilian coastal waters. Petrobras Shifts Focus to Oil E&P, Alternative Energy

PLSV Skandi Búzios Begins Work off Brazil

Skandi Búzios, a pipelay support vessel (PLSV) owned 50/50 by a joint venture formed between TechnipFMC and DOF Subsea, has commenced an eight-year charter contract with Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras), as scheduled on April 13, 2017.   Skandi Búzios is the sister ship of the Skandi Açu, which started its charter contract on August 13, 2016. Brazil May Open Petrobras Subsalt Area to Other Companies
